This is a small diner! One cook, one waitress and an ATM machine :)
It is kind of loud inside whenever the air is running and then when it shuts off, you find you were yelling! Oops
This was a nice stop for us on our way to Chicago. I had a cheeseburger and the layer salad. The layer salad was strictly a sentimental choice based on what I remembered my mom making and I'd have to say, I was disappointed. Due to the small bowl they served it in it was mostly mayo with very little lettuce. The cheeseburger was excellent though - nothing fancy, but great flavor!
Hubby ordered the meatloaf special and thought it was good. -

Really enjoyed our lunch here! The cheeseburger was delicious and huge! It's a cute local diner and excellent lunch stop. We also had the Swiss steak, bacon cheeseburger and double cheeseburger (come real hungry if ordering the double, it's very large)! All were fantastic. The onion straws are fried perfectly and pleasing to the taste buds. Highly recommend!

This is quintessential small town American Diner at its best. We will start out with the folks running the joint, some of the nicest you will find. They are not afraid to stop and talk about what's going on and what's coming up for new stuff on the menu. For the full diner experience I suggest you sit at the counter so you can view into the kitchen to watch the magic in real time. For starters, get their onion rings. These fresh hand-dipped rings of heaven are very lightly battered so as not to take away from the onion, and the batter is fantastic. For the meal, I suggest one of two things, either the double cheese burger or their hand breaded pork tenderloin. Both are amazing in their own right. The burgers are all fresh hand-pattied and fried on a flat top. You get the awesome outside crisp and a juicy center. Cooked perfect every time. The pork tenderloins are monstrously huge. You will have to eat over half of it before it is of a size to fit on the bun. This is a freshly hand tenderized, fresh battered, tenderloin made to order. To finish it off, go for a piece of homemade pie, they usually have about five to choose from. Bon Appetit!
